I'm looking to get a new set of rims and tires. I think I've finally decided on the 17x9 and 17x10.5 Bullit w/ deep dish rear with 275/40 and 315/35. Would this be a good combo or not. Advice and opinions greatly appreciated.

If 275's really track that bad, I guess I'll get 265's. They'll never see snow.265/35.. its about .3" shorter than stock.. not very noticable, plus the speedometer reads from the rear wheels so its ok to go slightly shorter in frontGinoGT said:What would be better for a 265 on an 18" rim? 40 or 35 aspect ratio? Keep in mind these would only be for the fronts, 35 would be a little shorter than stock, 40 a little taller. If 275's really track that bad, I guess I'll get 265's. They'll never see snow.

That's exactly what I'm going to be running.

Toyo Proxes are very sticky and great in the rain. 285/35/18 rear, 265/35/18 front work and looke great!wms004 said:handling wise I noticed less body roll and better overall handling from having 18" wheels/tires (also due to the width). Traction wise 17" is definately better, especially with a stickier tire. This is of course due to the fact that 18" tires' sidewalls are hard as a rock providing no flex.
