Well the ole stang's getting some miles on her now and I guess I've put off redoing it long enough. It would've probably already been done if I hadn't bought a jacked up 2000 Superduty and then gas prices went up. I have reconsidered my previous carbed combo in favor of the higher gas mileage potential of fuel injection. So, please feel free to make any suggestions..

0 decked align bored shortblock with 10:1 trickflow flattops w\nasty custom cam and hardware. Considering solid roller lifter setup..
TF Track Heat heads with polished combustion chambers and exhaust ports and corresponding equipment.
TF Track Heat Intake with 75mm elbow and TB.

*How fat a tire will fit under the back of these cars? I have 265's now.*

What are cars with similar suspension setups and engines runnin in the 1/4 minus the spray? It should be a little lighter and get some decent 60's with the suspension. I would love to get 11.9X's with ~115mph traps or better before the spray.

In reference to the MAF, you'll need a 77mm or larger caled for the 30lb injectors.

You already have 40 flowmasters, if they are 2.5" they should be fine with 1 3/4 long tubes with a single flange.

A 295mm tire should fit w/o rubbing.

I have a 295 tire...doesnt rub. I do have some bad news for you...In My Opinion...that 302 with h/c/i might...I stress MIGHT break into the 11's but I really dont think it will. Once again this is my opinion. It really depends on the track location and driver.


But for refrence...
my 302 with vic jr heads, crane 20/30 cam, edelbrock performer rpm manifold, 70mm mass air, 24lb injectors, A9L conversion, no p/s or AC, bfg drag radials and 125 hp wet spray it only went 12.01 and then proceded to s hit the balancer out. I live in the desert though...so best of luck to you!

I know of a couple heavy verts that have managed to break into the high 11's with lesser equipment.. I think being a few hundred pounds lighter than them should get me there a little quicker.. I can drive, so that shouldn't be a factor.. This engine will be built to support 7000+ rpm because I plan on shifting around 6800.. I will match the cam and intake to this also.. Surely a 10:1 306 with a custom solid roller cam setup turning 7 grand will get it there.. If not, the heads will go to Fox Lake or some place for some work..
