That sucks. Nosy neighbors are a real PITA. I had an 86 Notch parked in my driveway for 2 nights before the county came a knocking. It wasn't registered or insured. It was a drag car and it was parked in my driveway. It was grey in color. They said they would give me a ticket if I didn't move it in my garage. Well me and my wife park in there so hence why it is in the driveway. I finally put a car cover n it and haven't been screwed with since. They won't get the honda down the street with coffee can exhaust, 3 different colored body kit,Boeing 747 rear wing, and two different set of rims that has been sitting collecting dust for the past couple of months but sure as **** my running race car gets a ticket. Car covers are a good investment. When I was stationed in Bethesda,MD I never got hasseled in Columbia(where I lived) for my unregistered 1972 Dart:flag:

Apparently the hatch isnt a street car which means so reason to get it tagged, but he parked it on the street in front of his house...not very smart at all...

you know its not that someone necessarily called and complained about your car...any cop could have ridden by and taken notice that the car hadnt moved in a few days and decided to run the plate and found out the reg was not current...if it had a plate on it at all...which i hope it did...because if you touched one tire on the street without a plate on the car parked or not, you deserve to have to pay more than a lousy 85 bucks

My car wouldn't last 5 mins in front of my house without a plate on it. Granted, i live in a big city, but it's just common knowledge that if there is no plate (or insurance) on the car...it needs to stay on private property.
