PA Performance 200 amp alternator

Has anyone installed one of these? If so, did you have to grind the accessory bracket or was it a direct fit?

I am hoping that the bracket grinding only applies to fox body owners!

Anyways, satin black alternator and power upgrade wire should be going on soon. Looks sweet just sitting in the box!

i don't know about the 200amp but i do have their 130amp and it was a direct swap, no issues. the power wire is HUGE. i have it going around the back of the engine and still its way too long. i actually think it could reach all the way to the back of the car.

PA-P should be able to tell you. I don't see why you'd need to grind anything - it should be the same big 3G case (we use stock) with the 200 amp internals.

Remember to achieve a means of completing the ground path - the paint will probably inhibit the stock ground pathway (through the housing and bracket). Removing the paint where the alt sits in the bracket or installing a dedicated ground wire are two options.

Ryan, I routed my cable the same way. Did you find a clean way of getting the cable over to the passenger fender?
