Painted my Pony Rims today Check them out! *PICS*

the sticke weights are a pain in the ass to get the tire ballanced perfectly. but ya outside weights kill the rim. looks awsome, i wish i had poney rims to paint, but no my car came with fugly mexican rims (inkies)

That's the same paint i used on my Ten holes a few months ago...i'm happy with it so far, no chips or peeling.

BTW a bit of advice, don't try using that clear coat on anything that sees any kind of heat....it's not pretty.

Wow...looks good.I was just looking at my Ponies today, clear coat has gone to §hits. Now i know what has to be done :D
Any sanding involved ? I may have to do a light sanding on mine due to clearcoat.

Looks like new :nice: Good job man.

NICE job on the ponies!!!!!!!!

hey, 85_SS_302_Coupe, I remeber the post about you redoing your 10 holes, but my question is how much prep work did you do on the actual rim. I would like to do it to mine for the winter, but they are ate up severely. The clear coat on them is chipping bad and they look like a$$. If you can hit it with a wire wheel that would be nice cause my dad has a bunch of em, but sandpaper is another story. I really doubt you could use a wheel on it, but im just hoping...

Thanks for your help.

anybody have any tips for making my turbines looks nicer? Getting em shiny and clean lookin like they were from the factory would be nice.
