Paper vs Cotton Gauze

Paper is cleaner and does not deposit oil on MAF.

Cotton gauze flows more air.

Which is "better"?

Arn't K&N and other similar oiled type filters made out of a synthetic
material ? Any way I have been using K&N or Mac filters forever
Never had a problem with getting oil on the MAF, I usually clean and reoil
about 1 time a year, and I see a lot of dirt coming out during rinse.
I know you must let the filter air dry well before reoiling, and after reoiling.
before you reinstall. What is K&N's website... I cant seem to find it.
