Pics of hood warp with Fox Lake P-51

I know what the advantage is of the p51. You can get the same or a little better for about half the price with plenum and a tune. You can go a lot farther with the P51 though.
I didn't know if he was planning on engine rebuild or SC in future.

I had a trickflow plenum with an accufab TB along with the C&L MAF and inlet tube. I went with the P-51 because of the advertised power gains and I plan on a TT set up in a few years. I also didnt like the fact the the stock manifold was plastic.
I started another thread so everyone could see the pics instead of having to go through pages to find them. I would have taken pics when I started the first thread but my camera was about 50 miles away. I took them as soon as I could.
I have planned on getting the 2000 Cobra R hood but my issue is the intake and inlet tube. I cant get the rub marks off of those and now they dont look all that great with the rub marks on them. Call me picky but I would like the engine and all its components to look nice.

This is as good or better for what you plan to do , I was just curious. I like to keep things nice looking and neat. I have just worked on so many cars, some mine others not, and when we come to a fitment problem I do what is needed to make it work and look good. I'm sure you will too. They do make aluminum looking high temp paint that will look good. I'm not talking about the chrome paint. My next race car will be neater and cleaner than most peoples street cars under the hood.

color is what will make it look wierd. find something aluminum to test with. If you paint it pink or one of the riceboy colors it may look wierd to some. There are some polished silver colors that look very close to the C&L pipe color I would put on my stuff. I will look and see if we have an old can of what has been used on other parts and get the brand and color. You can try and see if you like. A lot of the old 5.0 intakes, factory and aftermarket come painted. Either that or find a local bike shop that polishes swing arms for cycles and they can make it all shiny.
