Please Help...Motor cutting out @ WOT/misfire

Finally got everything back together and drove it alittle. Still have some damn weld leaks on the cross over, so il have to get on those.. But my main problem is...

Real bad break up, sputtering, cutting out, ect.. at WOT, from about 3000-3200up.. Right around where i hit full boost.

Plugs are Autolite 23's gapped at .28
Using the stock timing tables
stock fuel tables
base fuel presure 35psi ( 1:1 regulator)
10psi of boost
42lb injectors 255 pump
MSD coil
stock ignition


I never had this problem before, and to be honest im not sure where to take it. I know its easy to say i need a real ignition on it, and a fuel system, ect.. But i dont think thats the problem here, because when i dynoed near 500 horse last time, i had not a problem, except richness..

Can running to lean cause this? I am not noticing black smoke at WOT like i used to.. Maybe the EEC just needs time to adapt?
 
did you try to reset the computer oink.................



usually when it spits out black smoke it is because of it running too rich right????


dunno man for sure....but keep us posted and i am sure everyone will try and rack their brain to figure it out.....

yea i know it really needs an MSD, but its odd how i didnt have this problem before now..


BTW, I MAY have found a few potential problems..

Cross over was leaking a bit, which doesnt help power output or spool time.
-rewelded and fixed.

Vacuum leak at the PCV.. -sealed an fixed

my Hand control was only allowing %75 throttle.. DOH!! Needless to say, this whole time ive been thinking the car was fast and distroying supercharged fox bodies, i was only at %75 throttle, lol..
Well i re adjusted it all, tightend it up and its going %100 open now. :D

Turbos are funny, in how they make bost, and power with load.. Without 100% open throttle turbos will make boost, but not power.. THink this may have been my problem. Eating dinner, then il head back to the garage to throw the cross over, and wastegate back on, and try agian.. :D :lol:
 
perhaps you are blowing out spark when it first spools

are you getting a boost spike of some sort? do you haev a way to data log the boost levels?

it might be a weak point in your wastegate or BC what type are you running of each of these?

if it is blowing out spark, of course the ignition and maybe a plasmabooster will work wonders
 
Ya it sure feels like spark blow out.. doesnt fall on its face, still revs out and makes insane power, but just breaks up real bad..
Wastegate is a Tial38mm, boost controller, is a air compressor regulator.
Both work fine, and control a rock solid 10psi through the gears.


On another note: TURBO CARS LOVE TIMING!!
How can i stress this enough, HOLY SHI* did the car wake up,lol.. Honestly puts the old 473 horse to shame, as far as how it feels now. No doubt the thing is close to or over 550 horse now. No gear gets traction, and even at that from a 40-50mph stab she lets lose, and the front end pops up. Ive yet to hit boost on the highway, but im sure itl be fun!
Only on 10psi, wait till i turn it up to 15-18
