So... How far are you taking this?

What do you have in mind?

Where is your list of " to do"?

There's definitely a list.

Chassis: K-Member, control arms, coilovers front and rear, fix floor rot, POR any spots that don't need new metal.

Brakes: all new lines, ABS, hydro boost, recondition the M2300 calipers

Interior: complete refit, RTX gauge cluster, modern stereo, lose the A pillar gauges

Engine: clean it, fix any leak points, new cooling system, refit OE aircon, 24lb injectors, replace broken fuct wiring harnesses, 3G alternator, Cobra intake, long tubes, Borla catback

Transmission: clean and reinstall. Keep the B&M shifter.

IRS: a couple of MM parts, replace pinion seal.

Cosmetic: clean/repaint engine bay, the general exterior gets a gentile refresh. Not perfect, but pretty.

Its a lot. But it's gonna be good.

It's not as bad as it looked. Surface rust only. The inner seam of the front frame is a bit distorted. Gonna clean it as best I can. Fix the stressed weld and maybe add a few more.

And it looks like the 93 Cobra M/C was leaking from the back from day one. Sigh. It's all garbage.

Interesting. I pulled the hood hinges. One side has a bracket.

The other side doesn't.

Obviously new hinge boots are a thing. But it feels like one side is missing a piece of metal.

Yeah. In my list. The booster is rusty and ufcked because of brake fluid. Why replace when you can upgrade?

Nice. Quick tip on engine paint that I learned over the years. After clean / prep, do a final wipe with wax / grease remove (like Prep all) sprayed on a link free paper towel. Once it evaporates, use a heat gun to warm the surface being painted. First reason, if you missed any grease / oil - you'll know right quick. Also heating the surface and making the paint flow on smooth. Lots of light coats. You can use heat gun between coats, helps off gas the propellants and set it up. Here's the 302 I did for the Bronco I restored. Engine still looked great when I sold it 15K miles later.

Got the fender pulled. Figured out where to mount things. New solenoids and charcoal can will be here this week. It's going to get cleaned up and painted. Probably going to stay like this till I get the Swiss cheese welded up.

Oh! Also did some other work yesterday.

Ready to mount up the new solenoids when they get here. Gonna wait to paint the rest till the welding and grinding is done.
