problem with throttle body gasket, coolant leak

hey guys,
as i get ready to sell my 5.0 im starting to get it ready to be sold. I have a problem however and im stuck. Ive noticed coolant has been leaking from in between the throttle body and the gasket for quite some time, spilling on the valve cover and onto the header. Today i took it apart and the new gasket was melted and there was sludge all in between the egr plate and throttle body, crusted up coolant everywhere and it looks like its been doing it for some time. Anyone know what woudl cause this and what i can do to fix it?

WHen was the last time you flushed the coolant?

That area doesn't really get flushed out much anyway so stuff tends to deposit there.

Just clean it up, replace the gasket, use some RTV and you should be good to go.

ok ill try that, this time im not using gasket sealer, i think thats what caused it to leak
