Procharger D1sc guys in here!!!

We'll I got the blower sittin in the living room. I have a 98 GT with 111,xxx on it. Thinking about running 400 rwhp on it what you think? Another question i have is how much hp an i looking to get out of 10psi and what is your MPH at the end of the 1/4?

Basicly i'm asking because if i get crap HP and 1/4 mile i'm not even going to bother putting it on. I seen some stangs doing low 13s at 107-112mph. That is pretty sorry when my all motor cobra was doing 109 at the 1/4 mile.

I'll wait to put my built motor in if its that slow. Have you guys seen 700rwhp off a D1 sc on a 4.6. I'm asking cause that is my target hp next year?

My present set up-

10psi, stock manifolds to a 2 1/2 h pipe w/<typical> flowmasters, 255intake pump and 255 pusher,308 gear in back with a auto........After looking at this "present set up" i'm feeling 13.5 1/4 at 105mph with 350/60 rwhp. :notnice:

I think a centri. supercharger on an auto with 3.08 gears and a stock stall converter would be SLOW in the quarter mile. The 60' times would surely be around 2.2 at the best. Also, it will be very difficult to actually get to 400rwhp with 10psi on a NPI engine. As you said, maybe you'll be able to squeeze out 350rwhp, but even that may be pushing it.
To really get a well thought out combination that will get down the track fast, you'll have to figure out how to get rpms up high off the line and give the engine a bit more breathing capacity: Add gears, a 3200rpm stall converter, sticky tires, PI intake, PI cams and you would be VERY deep in the 12s. We all know that rwhp doesn't mean that much in quarter mile times, but how the whole combination works is what's important. My 88 only put down 306 rwhp, but ran 12.2@111, with a ~3100lb race weight.
So make the whole combination work together. Add the blower, but also do something to get into the power band much more quickly because the auto will take forever to get to the power band with stock gears and a stock stall converter.

I forgot all about the auto gettin off the line and i was worried about how its not a PI set up car. Im switching it to stick and plan on having it a stick car for the 700 hp set up. I will go with the DDperformance viper t56 trans, damn thing is $3900 dollars. =(

Im going to hold off putting the blower on just cause as of right now, how the set up is its going to be to slow.
