More work done, this motor build is going quickly for someone who works at the machine shop only 3 days a week lol. Anyways the crank is set in for the final time. Assembly is now underway.

Camshaft has been degreed, I never knew the sheer importance of this, my setup was 6 degrees off. Everything has been adjusted accordingly for maximum efficiency.

All rings have been gapped, they were gapped to .25 apparently this is rather large gaps but he reassured me they will close up when everything gets hot.

Oil pump was taken apart to remove any possible burrs, nothing binding, and make sure the relief is working properly.

Windage tray is installed and checked for clearances on the oil pickup as well as the pump itself
Pistons are in finally and heads were placed on the motor to check piston to valve clearance. Now head gaskets are on order and next step is installing heads and sizing pushrods. I'm getting darn close to getting this motor back.

Congrats Mike. This thing is going to be an animal.

Can't wait to see how it performs. Also hope you and Jeff can have a heads up race sometime in the future. It would be so cool.

Sorry I'm from Oklahoma, it's a traffic circle. Bounce houses are called Jupiter Jumps and when you are asked "What do you want to drink" you say "Coke" they said "What kind" and you say "Pepsi"
