Heads have been fitted and torqued to spec. Push rods have now been measured and ordered, they are coming from the west coast should see them mid next week. Hopefully the end of June I'll have the motor back. We test fitted the intake on and found that some of the runners don't match up so they will need to be port matched.

So went up and met with the machinist because he had to talk to me about the intake. Nothing lines up on the intake from port holes to bolt holes. Another 250 dollars just to get everything to line up. The intake surfaces need to be milled .120 on each side to get to fit the way they should and bolt holes need to be elongated to get them to bolt properly

Thats weird I wonder why. It's a 8.2" deck, which the lower is made for. Maybe the intake side of the DART heads are slightly different than factory?!?!?!

Not going to lie You and @tannerc91gt make me want to scrap all my plans and go full tilt on my car right now.

Perfectly normal for a super vic. Seems they were designed around edelbrocks own heads with a slightly raised port.

Biggest reason I want to try the tfs version on mine, it'll still need to be ported but if I don't need to mill it.....

I heard that Super Victor intakes have to be milled to the heads you're bolting them to when you buy them new.

So the intake was milled and bolts were elongated to fit. It ended up getting milled .140" on each side. Intake is bolted down as well as pushrods came in and rockers bolted and set up. Motor is completely done at this point. I spoke with Ballard and Wayne at ptc and I'm having a converter fast built for me (1200) dollars for a nice billet front end converter. Also got my trans ordered to be built .. looks like around the 4th of July I'll have everything to be ready to put back into the car. Here's the final pictures from the builder I haven't picked it up yet.
