Proof of 13's in a stock '99-'04 Mustang GT

Might as well get a cobalt, atleast it's a chevy. Unless you just have to have that 3rd door. I just looked at the 'redline' for the first time and I'm sick to my stomach. I've never even heard of this car until now and i hope to never hear about it again. I'm going to take my 03 GT to the track this weekend and see what I come up w/(if the weather permits). I just picked it up on Monday and I haven't done I single thing to it.....yet!! If I see a redline on the streets, I'm going to go home and get my truck and test out that dent resistang polymer w/ my push bar. :flame:

Same crap...just a different message board starting the trouble.

If the Mustang is such an antiquated peice of slow trash...why does everyone use it as a benchmark which to base their cars on?

Hmm, well IMO all stock GTs are about the same, different tracks read different times, down hill track, up hill tracks. It all depends. Some guys with just a CAI or mufflers run about the same times as me, and some stock run about the same. BUT i bet you that if you were to come out and meet me on the street those stock "13 sec" stangs would not hold a light to me. I have raced a few stockish 99+ GTs with all the same result, I passed them with ease. I am not sure how modded they are, but an auto one beat me when i was almost stock...and a black one beat him (watched)...I have since beat both of them. I am not bragging or anythink like that LOL, but just because person X runs a 13.8 @ 101 stock at 1 track doesnt mean that he is faster than person B. that runs 14.0 @ 100 with full exhaust and a chip a another track. Even at the same elevation, different tracks post different times....IMO all stock GTs are about the same, some trap 95, some trap 100. If we were talking about LS1s then it would be different.

this man speaks the truth, minute variances can make all the difference, weather conditions, driver differences all matter...but he is right most seem very close in times...

oh and BTW...i got to race one of the redlines on the way up to MD, had a loaded trunk and my friend in the car and he still didnt stand a chance...put a few cars on him easily
