I installed my Pypes Race Pro catback today and I have a fitment issues with the passenger side. I have 03 Cobra wheels(9") on fox length axles and 275 Nitto DR's, on my driver side I have about an inch of clearance roughly. On my passenger side I have less than an inch of clearance and my tail pipe is really close to my bumper cover.(turndown sytle GT Tails)

Anyone with 275 tires run the pypes catback? I was wanting to go with 275 MT DR's when the nittos run out but they are wider so I dont see how I will be able to. Maybe someone can give me some tips on how to get that side to line up better. Thanks!

Loosen both clamps on the muffler, rotate the muff slightly downward while keeping the tailpiipe straight. It sucks trying to do this, alone, so it might help to have someone spot-check the alignment while standing behind or next to the car while you adjust it ... unless you don't mind wiggling things, crawling out to look, then crawling back under there, re-adjusting, crawling back out again, etc. :D

If that doesn't work, it might be possible that you have the flow tube (between the X- or H-pipe and the muffler) installed funky. Loosen the two flange bolts and the forward muffler clamp, rotate as necessary, then check for clearance. It may even be necessary to completely unbolt the muffler and flow tube in order to rotate things sufficiently.

What really sucks is if you've already cinched things down tightly enough that you can't get them back apart without some prying and mangling of parts, which might involve the use of a tailpipe expander, cutting tools, and/or welding to make things right, again. Thus the importance of checking and double-checking everything before final torque-down is applied when doing exhaust stuffs. :)
