The current system on my car has seen better days and its time for something else. Ive had Flowmasters on every Mustang Ive ever owned and like the sound, but want something else. Going with either MAC or Pypes Ciolator catback. Havent heard either in person and cant find good sound clips of the Pypes mufflers. Is anyone using these, and how do you like them? Just wondering if the MAC system is worth the extra $100 or so. Pypes is local to me and I can pick one up for $240 complete. Currently have stock headers and catted h pipe, but will be going with some shorties and off-raod H pipe. Any opinions appreciated.

Did you try the pypes website, they have sounds there. I like their catback because its stainless and at a good price.

I had the pypes stainless steel catback (still do)... it was REALLY nicely constructed and looks amazing.. but it was just too quiet for me w/ my o/r H, so i had my flows cut into the stainless catback for the best of both worlds.

i got MAC flowpaths on my 89 gt with a o/r h pipe... i lov the sound of them a lot better than flowmaster..i think it has a deeper tone than flows and according to a dyno sheet i found they give you more horsepower. only like 3 or 4 tho. i replaced my old flowmasters with the flowpaths and am very happy.

I have a pypes catted X with their stainless cat back system...I picked up the cat back from the factory also to save money. Really like the sound...and they are reasonably priced for the quality of the product...just my experience... If you do go pick them up make sure you call a day or so before.
