Q's about vortech YS-trim

I'm looking into one i found for rather cheap, 94-95 specific setup. The website says capable of 30psi. Now i don't want to run anywhere near that, i'm thinking like 10-15 after i build my engine. Is this possible with this particular blower. If so, will i only see boost at real high rpm's? I wouldn't be running my thumper heads with it. It'll be on a built 331 with afr 185's and my intake. Please lend me some info, thanks alot.

Yah they come on later in the RPM band...and if alls you want is 10-15 I'd look into a T if you are looking for crazy #'s, and even a S will easily support those #'s.
The S is the better street/strip because you will make alot more boost down low.

A S-Trim on that setup at 15psi would easliy make 550rwhp.
Hope you have a Dart/R block.

All i'm looking for is 450-500rwhp. If the YS is too big, i don't want to go with it, i just found one pretty cheap.

the YS will work but it wont be as happy with a low rpm motor. you could probably pulley it up some to get the internal rpms up but thats more boost
