I am going to be getting a set of canfield heads and i need to know if i need a certain type headers for them because the exhaust ports are raised on the heads. I currently have a set of mac L/T headers. Let me know if you guys have any ideas let me know thanks.

The ports are raised slightly but they'll still fit. I used to have BBK 13/4" longtubes on mine and now I have Bassani 13/4" to 17/8" stepped longtubes. No serious problems with either fitting. Good choice on the heads by the way. You don't see many going with Canfield these days but they're an excellent performing head.:nice:

They will work.. whats nice is when you can get the headers that let you use the outer bolt pattern. I ran a 1 3/4 custom header but the headers did not have to be pinched as they got up against the head becuase of the outer bolts being used. Great heads.

The wide pattern is a nice feature. Before I hogged out the narrow pattern headers to match my ports. It worked but they were paper thin and kept cracking so I went to wide pattern flanges and modified the replaced the last 2" of each tube into the flanges. Fits and looks great, flows even better.
