You can make 20rwhp, but the a/f is going to be around 13-14 maybe higher. I would not run that on my DD. Plus I've seen some dyno tuners do SAE for the base dyno and then uncorrected after they tune it to show bigger numbers. Its all about being safe for your engine and getting a good tune with a better power band over peak numbers.

HA, i was wondering about that too but i forgot to ask..

If i get my car dynod at 3200 feet does anyone know how much power i will lose from being so high up in altitude? I'm gonna try to wait till May so that don't happed but theres a portable dyno lurking around here

IF its done by SAE standards it should be the same.

good then cause i was worried about the altitude difference..

i don't really DD my car anymore but i prolly will starting may and id love to see a 15-20 hp gain but i'm gonna make sure the A/F is correct.. id rather have 12hp and perfect A/f then 20 and KABOOM

I had my car dyno'd with a catted H pipe, catback, & C&L 85mm MAF & with an email tune it gained about 14 rwhp & 17 rwtq over untuned, but the car was way too lean. Then I changed my exhaust to LT's & o/r H & got a real dyno tune & I picked up about 13 hp & only 9 ft lbs, but keep in mind that with the new dyno tune my car was at a safer more rich a/f ratio & was at a mild 19 degrees of timing. Then I added a few degrees of timing & put it back on the dyno & My car gained 12hp & 8 rwtq just by advancing the timing from 19 degrees to 22 degrees.

I started out @ 275 rwhp & 294 rwtq & by adding LT's, o/r H, & a dyno tune my car is now @ 315rwhp & 327 rwtq

That being said, I think that if you actually have a good tuner tune your car, I dont see why u wont pick up around 15-20 rwhp because u have most of the bolt ons that u can do on a 2V besides headers. I heard that the GT's have a pretty lame tune from the factory & with all the induction upgrades & no cats, your car is probably a little out of wack @ this point. Are u getting an actual dyno tune, or an E mail tune. Like I said before, I had bad luck with my e mail tune being too lean......Good luck with your tune....

I agree. A good tuner is a must. It's scray to see just how "lean" these cars come from the factory. My first dyno run in stock form a/f was 16.5:1. After the tune the a/f was 12.6:1. My tuner wasn't the best. I gained 12hp and 15trq at of it. Pearl02.

The gains from your pullies will be completly ate up from your gears. Anytime you drop the gear ratio...you loose power on the DYNO. 3.73s will cost you around 7RWHP.

I say you will put down around 260RWHP. Then all you need are some LT headers and that should bump you up to around 27X.
