I apologize in advance for the long post, just trying to get all the info in up front.

Well I have been going through the car itemizing what the previous owner has done to it. I pulled the kickpanel to get to the computer and found a module plugged into it. It appears to be made of like injection molded plastic with 4 wires coming out and going to a 3 row dip switch. There are also these strange plastic balls with 2 wires going into each. I'll take some pictures tomorrow in the afternoon in case that helps any.

It has a really ghetto label that says RAGUSA 1-3 on it. Taped onto it, I guess to hold the module into the port on the computer.

Also buried in the panel was an index card that has the following:

1% Lean / 2% Advance (Switch 1 on)
3% Rich / 3% Advance (Switch 3 on)
8% Rich / 3% Advance (Switch 1 & 3 on)
All Switches off (stock setting, speedo will read fast)

It also said "Custom Chip for 3.73 Gears" on it, which explains why it has a bit more kick than my friends stock GT.. It's certainly nice to find out there's already some gears in her, but just from driving the past 6-8 months I've realized something is afoot here.

So it's been set to Switch 3 since I bought the car ('00 GT). My mileage has always been in the 18mpg range, and I read here a lot of you guys with mild upgrades are in the 20 range. So I figure I'll fill her up in the morning and change it to Switch 1 to see if there is a mpg change, would be nice for distance drives with gas prices lately.

The current 'mods' I've uncovered so far are the 3.73 gears, an X pipe (have not had a chance to get it back on a lift to check for brand/model), k&n drop in, and the chip. There may be more but I'm still learning as I go and havent had a chance to go through the common upgrades to see what does not appear stock, etc.

So has anyone ever heard of RAGUSA ? Not Sure it may be Rag USA as well who knows, it was a pretty lousy looking printout. I've got a 60 mile round trip to do tomorrow so I figure I'll go with the lowest setting on the way there, and bump it up to the highest setting for the ride home. I've been on the middle setting since day 1 so if there's any SOTP difference I should be able to feel it.

What setting would you guys use if you were in my shoes seeing the modest mods in the car and why? Thanks for any help I really appreciate it.. I felt like I hit a Jackpot when I saw the gear info and chip, now I just want to get a handle on whats in here and figure out what other mods may be lurking :)

Well it's time to go on the first half of my trip for this morning / afternoon.. I'll bring my camera in case I blow the car up by accident :) Should have pics of the chip / wires / switch / etc. mid-day whenever I return, maybe that'll help crack the case.
