I am doing a 351w swap and will be needing to change my lower intake. Currently I am using an RPM upper and lower and I plan on staying with the RPM upper. Since I need to change the lower, should I go with Edelbrock or is it safe to go the Typhoon style intake? I would just as soon go the Edelbrock but at the moment I am on a tight budget. Could I get away with this lower or will I be doing some work cleaning it up?

You could definitely use the Typhoon in leiu of the Edelbrock 5.8 lower. They can be hit or miss on the quality, but the money you'll save over buying the Edelbrock is worth it in my book. Couple hours with a grinder and some cartridge rolls, and you've got every bit as good of a piece in my opinion.
Thats pretty much what I wanted to hear. I figured at worse I would need to clean up the ports a going to the heads. What about an upper intake? I thought about maybe selling both upper and lower and getting a polished version since they are inexpensive.
