I was considering putting dark grey or matte black racing stripes on my mustang and i was wondering if anyone knew any place that does them in the Dallas, TX area.
Also what do i need to make sure i know before getting them done.
I assume they are vinyl?

I called Ford and inquired about having the 05 stripes put on my 02. I was transferred to their detailing team. The guy that I talked to said they outsource the install of the stripes to a body shop because of wrinkle issues. He then said the best way to get stripes is to have them painted on that way you wont have any fading issues or wrinkling or tears ect...as it will be under a nice layer of clear coat. Install + the vinyl stripes he said cost $500.
I wouldnt think a paint shop would charge too much more then that to paint them on.
In Dallas your best bet would be your local Ford dealer or call the local auto body shops and whoever is booked out the longest is the one you want to book the appointment with.
I wouldn't go the painted on route these days. There are some great aftermarket racing stripes available that will save you quite a bit of dollars. This Bob White Decals a they have some great stripes for most late model 'Stangs!
