I have numerous questions and decided to ask them all on one thread.

First, what's the best tire/size to run on the street (traction for drag racing) besides Drag-Radials of any type?

Wanting to run Skinny's up front and biggies out back (Weld Wheels), what size w/ back spacing do you recommend and why? (Street Car/Ocassional Drag Car)

I currently am running a 6-psi pulley on my Powerdyne Supercharger (BD-11), what's the Pro's and Con's versus switching to a 9 or 11 psi pulley?

I need to out-run my brothers car. Currenty he has a '06 Mustang GT stock with a Procharger Diablo Stage 2 P1SC Supercharger. Car ran a 8.7 in the Eight spinning through all gears. I have a '86 Mustang GT, 3.73 cogs, Trick Flow Intake, 65mm TB, 76mmC&L MAM, X-Pipe, Flow master mufflers and a 6-psi Powerdyne Supercharger. What do I need to stay competitve or out run the heavy '06 beat?

One more thing..I've been thinking about removing my Flowmaster 2-chamber mufflers for New '06 factory stock mufflers (trying to calm down the car), would you recommend this move or not, and why?

Thanks

#1 I love my BFG Radial T/A's. They provide nice traction on dry. Not the best on wet. I have 275/50/R15's. Nice tire well at least I think so.

#2 I'm not sure of backspacing for front tires but my rear are Weld Draglites 15x8's with a 5.5 inch backspace. I have a small spacer in them to help with no rubbing.

#3 I don't own a supercharger but i can tell you basically you may just have to add some more supporting parts to run 9 or 11 psi. A better tune aswell.

I would think with your current setup you should beable to take him. I would focus more on suspension mods and ways to get your power to the ground then trying to add more power. Maybe a battery relocate would be inorder or drag springs and struts and shocks. Drag radials and slicks. Did you remove or atleast disconnect your front swaybar when you raced him? There are a lot of little tricks to get a little more out of your current setup.

Thanks for the info....

As far as suspension, I have Lakewood TA Lift Bars (LCA) set in the middle position. I still have incredible amounts of wheel hop with street tires.

I purchased subframe connectors and torque box plates years ago, but haven't had them installed due to high $$$$ for the task.

The front sway bar is still intact as I use the car daily.

HR drag springs and BFG Drag Radials are on the wish list. My Drag lites are getting lonely in the garage by themselves.

The car feels pretty strong, however I think my weak link is the factory '86 production heads. Wanting to install aftermarket heads but can't get a straight answer on which ones will and won't work. Rumor has it that TF Twishted Wedge heads are the only ones that will work. Maybe that would be a good New Thread to post.

I installed my subframe connectors myself. Get them installed. Your car needs them.

The front sway bar is easy to remove and reinstall. I do it all the time when I go to the track. It is 6 bolts basically.
