Raise the roof.

Happy to see the deck and walkway for your Dad. I was going to suggest you have a ramp somewhere to get to the house without having to use stairs. The driveway should be good, too.

Yeah, the driveway was a bonus. This company we chose was the only one out t of 5 bids that planned to raise the carport and ramp to it.

Part of the deck from my dad's place along the back of my carport. Cost and extra grand to run another 10 ft. They have done more work to the driveway but I'm still waiting for them to finish the concrete at the bottom of the steps. It was supposed to be done 2 week ago and as you can see, when it rains, it's a pond. My dad can't get out of his front door without stepping into mud. They also have left wood pilings they used to support the house during the lift in my yard for almost two months now. I asked weeks ago to have them removed. I'm going to charge a storage fee. Plus they stacked them without locking them in place so they have fallen over in several places. I had to keep the grandkids away from them. Anyway I sent a text to the contractor again complaining about the lack of work and he says we are a "priority" now. I believe when I see.

Did insurance play a part in this?
Grant money?
Contact whomever is paying them, no more money till finished!!
Yes, insurance is part of it along with grant. A long email was sent to the parish grant office two weeks ago. They have since worked a total of 4 days. If they would stay a solid week they would be finished with everything but the driveway. I'm sending pictures of the unfinished concrete to the parish tomorrow. Thing is I asked as soon as the finished the steps to fix it. I had two 2x6's at the bottom to smooth the transition because it was uneven and had trash in it. The came and cut the concrete but didn't finish. It looks the same off my back deck onto the patio. It's like I ask for something to be done and they don't do it out of spite.

They have received about half of what they are owed. If I get another check to send to them I'm hanging onto it until they finish.

I would be on the phone taking to a real person but that's me, if they send you the checks then I would be on the horn telling the contractor to get it in gear if they want their money.
I'm kind of an azz about things like that.
No tickie no laundry btch

I need to get some more pictures. Really the only thing left to do it the electric meter and some water spickets. The block is painted and they took the temp posts down from the carport last week. Finally got my yard back although it's rough from all the dead spots. For kicks here is my grandson when we were on vacation last week wearing my wife's reading glasses. IMG_20220723_181659163.jpg
