rca's with stock head unit?

ok i have a 96 vert and was wondering where to tie in to the speaker wires with that converter box, it does have the mach. on my 97 cobra (hard top) there was something right under where the back speakers are mounted. because it a convertable there not mounted there but the amps are easly accessable behind the rear seat. thanks

I would grab the signal right behind the stereo.If yo9u get it after it comes out of the amp,its gonna be crossed over and the frequencies will be separated.

what about the wires before they go into the amp, just tryin not to have a bunch of wires going from the front to the back? thanks

i guess that would work too,but how small are the wires back there(ga size)??

im not sure, but i would think they were the same as behind the head unit.
