Real deal on the Eibach Sportlines

I have read most of the threads on this site about the sportline springs and have gotten good info and bad info. I have a 2000 gt and want to lower it. I have read the reviews on stangnet and about half the people have no problems with the springs and the other half hate them and say they rub holes in their driveshafts. I want to get peoples opinions on the springs and what people are saying about them. Pics of a 2000 with 17's, and sportlines would be helpful as well.

i dropped my 03 GT with the Eibach Pro Kit and its been just fine..no problems at all

I've had mine in for over a yr & a half w/ not a problem except an occasional scrape over a speed bump. I have pics but not online. I can have some on here 1 day.

do you know if you are scraping your pipes or something else?

My dad had 'em on his 2000 GT, they looked a little funny in my opion. Not bad they just made the back higher than I like. They sagged after a moderate period of time and he replaced them. They're on my '89 4-cyl right now, I like em on that. I'd reccomend H&R progressive rate springs. But I don't have a SN95 so

i'm having the exact same thing on my car. i figured its when the front wheels slide down a speed bump instead of rolling down it

My sportline are great still in the box. Look around though I got my for $210.00 new. I think that is a good deal on them.

I like mine, I scrape occasionally, but that's because I have a prochamber. 2" is the most i would go on a stang. Also my launches suck because of these springs. I will probably be getting a better spring for launches in the back only. The front looks perfect lowered 2" IMO.

I've had Sportlines for about a year now, and I love 'em. I've never scraped as of yet, but I do take my time where need be...........

same here but sometimes I scrape. My launch times are killed by my reaction & 60 ft, not the Sportlines.

He's talking about Sportlines not the Pro-kit.

I have the sportlines and cc plates with 18's and i have had no problem with the shocks or tires. Most people that i have meet that went with the pro kit said that drop was just not enough so they changed to the sportlines. This setup has been on my car for over a year now and i still have no problems!

I had the Sportlines and loved the look, but the ride just got to me. Maybe the roads are just too rough on the way to/from work - more likely I'm just getting older.

I have the Pro-Kit and like them, but I'd say that both the Sportlines and Pro-Kit should be a 1/4 inch lower in the front than they are. You could remove your isolators, but I'm just going to cut a very small section of the coil off next time I get a chance.

I don't buy this whole sagging thing. Eibach makes top of the line springs - doesn't the Cobra come with them? ALL kinds of tuners and aftermarket car companies run with them. Most likely people are referring to their new isolators settling in.

i've put sportlines in 3 local cars and they all are pleased. personally, i went with the intrax springs cause they've got the lowest drop and steeda x2 ball joints for an extra 1/2 inch drop in front. perfect stance.

I can't say about the isolators. But I do know that the rear sits about 0.25 inches lower than it did when I first installed the Sportlines. That will prompt me to one day do a 2.5-3 inch drop up front, either Eibachs or Goldlines like are on my wifes' car.

No probs here,..they are great springs as far as I'm concerned..But on here,.. you may here many people talking about drag racing set-ups and not over-all "Euro" performance,.which means all-around performance, not your local red-light straight line performance.
