Ok, so while I am in Iraq for the next 15 months, I plan to add a few bolt on goodies to my 65 coupe:

347 Stroker
weiand or similar style blower
redo the trans to make it manual shift and hold together
full cage
new suspension with 5 lug conversion
disks on all four corners

the questions I have are what type of blower would you recommend? I like weiand, and have also heard good stuff about D&D...and some others. I am in Germany now, and shipping can be somewhat of a hassel, but what I plan to do is get all my stuff shipped at one time.

the other question is who makes a good 9" rear with disks, that I could just bolt in?

thanks in advance

9" rear with discs? Ford did it with the late 70's Lincoln Versailles and it was also an option in the same year's Granada and Monarch. Bolt in for an early Stang. Cheaper than a Currie by a long shot.

I saw that he was in Germany and thought that they probably didn't have to many junk yards with old school Fords in it.

I thought I'd toss that out there, you never know if someone might want to import one. Might be cheaper than the Currie or other aftermarket rears.

yeah, I can use Bax global to ship it here, or since we do PCS back to the states 6 months after I get back from Iraq, I may just wait untill I get there to do the rear and all. But the engine and blower will be going is as soon as I get back. I love being here in Germany, but when it comes to big parts, it sucks for shipping..lol

On the plus side the steep gears the Versailles 9" comes with would be a plus on the Autobohn The one I had under my 67 427 car had 2.47's. 140 mph wasn't even a sweat.
