Rear glass window separation from convertible top.

I a Zipper at the top edge—well hell—it’s probably glued in too.
I will tell you this—after it quit storming on me today and it warmed up when I got onto Interstate 29 I lowered the windows and had it over 85 mph for about 5 miles then slowed down to around the speed limit the rest of the way.
When I got to the VA I looked it all over and I don’t think that window is going anywhere. I guess I will find out in time how good it is, but for now I’m impressed.

Sounds good. And yes I have a zipper on mine too. The part that keeps separating is below the zipper, where the cloth is supposed to be heat sealed to the window glass. That seal keeps failing. Glad to hear your repair worked!

Ya know—I was YouTube—on this site —everywhere I could think to look to figure out how to fix it.
Last Saturday I was just about to just order a new rear window that they advertise with the lower fabric panel.
I got to thinking about that tube of glue the man gave me.
Went to bed and thought about—what the hell try it.
Drank a few adult beverages and thought it some more Sunday afternoon.
Since it was just me, and 14 year old Grandson here—ask him what he thought.
Said “lets do it “.
We went out and I cleaned out the fabric channel the best I could, then we did a practice run. We both got inside—got our hands on top of where you could feel the window where it zips- got ahold of the fabric and pulled it together. It was staying together without any glue on it. Wasn’t going to stay, but I knew we could get it together.
Told him to take a break while I put masking tape over the white part of the lower top and got everything ready.
We just did a repeat of what we practiced.
It was staying together.
Had him go get his Mothers hair dryer and blow it across the outside of the seam while I inside of the car squeezing the top and bottom together right after he made a pass with it.
Like I said earlier—I tested out yesterday and today.
Yesterday it was around 85mph with the windows down, and today I know I had it over 100mph—don’t know exactly how fast as the speedometer only reads to 85–but when I got home I pressed down on the areas between the window and trunk.
It is good to go.
I don’t see why that wouldn’t work in your situation.
What do you have to lose?

I have no complaints about the motor at all.
After we installed the new transmission the rear seal started leaking.
Called Blueprint—they talked to my mechanic and told him

The motor is great.
After I installed the new transmission the rear seal started leaking a few months later.
I called them and they talked to my mechanic. Told him to fix and didn’t charge me a dime. So their warranty is great too.
