Reasonable price for stock 5.0?

What is a decent price for a stock 5.0 with emmisions equipment and that is it? I know a guy who has one and said "make an offer" so what should I offer him? Of course I am still going to build a badass motor, but I want a stocker that I can swap out each year for emmisions.

Well, actually, every other year, unless I can get someone to pass me. I would pass it right before my b-day, then right after it since the test has to read within a year. If I have to do it, I will. I am talking about just a motor with the emisions equipment.

I dunno what they are worth. Around here they seem to go for a pretty good price. I got mine for $900 cash and it had some things done to it.

It`s mandatory.
