Miami, Ok
tell me if this sounds good...

remove radiator.
remove all accesories
remove upper intake.

remove all exhaust, leave headers on engine.

i will pull my tranny. I was going to leave the bellhousing and clutch still attached and just remove the tranny itself.

then pull the engine, get new engine ready...

should i put the new engine back in with headers on, then bolt exhaust back up or put them on in the car?

should i just build the engine to where all i will need to do it place the upper on and the accesories?? and all small stuff??
i was going to put the clutch and stuff on and also put the bellhousing on while its going in, then stab the t5 under the car.

You don't have to do it this way, but you can! I stuffed every damn thing on the engine before dropping it back in!!

definetly put the headers on first. just be careful lowering it in like marlboro man said. its waaaaaaaay easier putting the headers on while its on the stand.

and cobradvdm i wish i had the intake lift plate so i could have bolted all my acceseories on first i had to use the holes in the heads for the acces to attach the chains. and the secret to putting the trans on with the motor is getting the car high enough

Any particular reason why you want to pull the trans out from under the car? I would pull the engine, bellhousing and trans as a unit then you can unbolt the trans outside where it is easier to get to and do the same with bolting it back up.
