Ok well everytime people say why a saleen blower cant produce that much power its alwasy because people say the intake is restrictive...is there nothing out on teh market for that? is it the intake part of the saleen blower or isit an intake that is off the engine itself?..srry it may sound dumb!

Assuming I'm understanding your question, the intake plenum (goes from the TB to the blower) is a Saleen product. An expensive product at that; they quoted me around $600 dollars for a new one (i had a crack in mine and wanted a direct replacement, we decided to weld it).

My friend has an aftermarket TB and plenum to match on his '00 SC, but I can't remember for sure who made his, I think it is Accufab.

Hope this helps!

I think wsbrigham maybe referring to the lower intake (between blower and heads) which I have also heard was the most restrictive part of the Series I through V systems due to its poor design. Add to that, the fact that there are gaps between the intercooler and lower intake walls. This reduces the efficiency of the intercooler.

Saleen made improvements to the inlet tube on the Series IV and V that provides a more direct air path and is sized nicely to accept a 75mm throttle body.

To maximize the efficiency of the Series I/II systems, some people have ported the blower case, sealed the intercooler gaps and installed the later Series IV inlet and added a larger throttle body. It can be a lot of work and $$.

yes head Paneer that si teh intake I was referring to..... Roush has a better design correct? Not sure what kind of flow differnec there is between the saleen and roush but is it possible to just buy a roush intake and possobly bolt it on or is it alot more complicated than that?

mattch2 - more of what you're looking for is located on these threads over at Corral.net. A guy by the username "Graham" has done some extensive research and testing with the Saleen S4 blower.

Here is exactly what you are looking for...
Saleen S4 Manifold Flow Numbers

Take special note to Post No. 7...
387HP Saleen Series4 - long

Steigmier Does Porting on both the Plenum and Manifold for the Series IV. its about 600$ though. I personally don tthink it does much though. As for the Intercooler Efficiency. I run a LFP Intercooler resivour tank that hold like 5X more that the stock saleen one and i aslo run a half bottle of watter Wetter to keep the Intercooler running cool with the smaller pulley, thus avoiding heat soak. Works Great.
