I am 15 and I am getting a 99 Mustang GT. The rims are the ugly triangular gray rims so I’m getting new ones. The rims I’m think about getting are 245/45/19 but the current rims are 255/55/16. Can someone tell me if this would work?

Here is a pretty good article about Mustang wheels...

https://www.americanmuscle.com/wheel-tech-guide.html

Note that the sizes you indicated are tire sizes...you'll need to find out what the wheel size is (19" x what width), the bolt pattern size and the offset to decide if they are a fit for your '99.
Ok thank you for your help. Is the bolt pattern just like the 5 bolts and where they are located? And where would I find the wheel size?

99s are 5"x4.5" pattern (basically Ford passenger car for many years)...the rim/wheel size is generally marked somewhere on the inside of aftermarket wheels...factory wheels are hit and miss for markings. You'll note on the wheel chart in the article that there are a lot of Mustang wheels that will fit, but the trick is getting them with the correct offset. Some folks use spacers to get the offset they want...with mixed results (I'm not a fan of spacers). Do you know what the wheels you are looking at came off of...that may give a clue to fit on your car?

You might want to compare the tire sizes on a tire calculator available on the internet. A quick look indicates the 19" tire you want to use is actually .39" narrower at the section and .64" taller than the 16" on it now. That means the 19" should fit with the correct offset wheel, but will cause your speedometer to indicate a little fast (probably better than a little slow). IF the car is lowered, tire height becomes more important with too tall a tire potentially causing issues depending on how much the car is lowered. The additional tire height also effectively lowers your rear end ratio (numerically lower) resulting in less pep off the light---BUT it is a very small difference of roughly .97%...not enough to worry about day to day. Lots of things to think about and factor as you begin your mods. Enjoy.

The wheels I’m looking at came off of a 2014 Mustang GT. Also another one I was looking at just looks like after market wheels and rims.

The bolt pattern sizing may be marked on the back of the aftermarket rims...hard to say. Regarding wheels from a 2014, the article I linked to you states:
  • "SN95 Mustangs (1994-2004) can use 2005-2014 wheels; they will be tucked inside the wheel well and will require a spacer". ((A spacer to bring them even with the fender lip)). Ends up being your call on what looks best on your car and what works best for your mod plan.
