Hey Guys, I want to lower my 69 Mustang. Im running 15x10 rims with a 295 50-15 tires on the rear. I want to run a 15x8 rim with the 295-50-15 tires. Is this going to work if I lower my car? Anyone running this combo. What kind of backspacing would I want on the 15x8 rims? Thanks for the help.

a 295 width tire wont go on a 8" wide rim, even if you drop the air pressure down to 18psi. remember you are talking about a tire that has a section width of nearly 12", and packing that down on an 8" wide rim just isnt possible.

Summit recomends rim siz 8" to 10" for 295-50-15 tire.
