RIPPED OFF BY: liberty mustang supply MODERATOR NOTE: THIS IS AN OLD THREAD

HI EVERYONE!!!

Let me explain what happened from the beginning, before it happens to you. Never buy from liberty mustang supply. I don't ordinarily smear a business, but I'm pretty upset at these guys.

It took them MANY months after I placed the order to send my hood, and this was only after I called once a week for about four months. There were many weeks when I was calling every damn day. Out of probably HUNDREDS of calls the guys at LMS finally picked up. They claimed there was a mix up; reluctantly, I gave them another chance.

The hood arrived, and I paid cash to the shippers (some unknown ass company) for shipping.

Upon installing the hood,, I noticed it was horribly f*#ked up. We're talking all bent out of shape, not a chance it'll fit. That was over a month ago. I got ahold of a lady at liberty mustang supply, who told me to send her pictures, and that she would get the situation straightened out. At this point, I was still being EXTREMELY nice. I took three good pics, and emailed them within a half hour of being off the phone. I talked to the lady once more, who said the pics would be forwarded to the big shots, and I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!!!!


I AM OUT 400 DOLLARS AND AM IN THE MIDDLE OF STARTING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only problem is, none of three different lawyers CAN GET THEM TO PICK UP THE @#^%$!@*&%$@#*&%^@$#*&@%^ PHONE!!!!!!!!

Watch out where you buy your parts.Only buy from reputable
places that you trust.You should return it to them and they should
send you a new hood.My cousin was telling me he got overcharged
one hundred dollars by SHM on cams.They said their was nothing they
can do about it. I will never order anything from them.

Did a domain search for their website and here is who it is registered to. Got some phone numbers. I hate to say it but Cincinnati Composites may be who makes these hoods. Yes they do suck. They are out of a run down trashy warehouse. I would at least try to call this number and see what you can find out.

holy ****, you're like some kind of smart guy or something. I think my buddy got a cincinnati composites hood and it worked great though. Anyway, I'm going to call every one of these numbers and see what's up.

Aint that the damn truth...I love summit. If a part is 5/10% more than somewhere else, I just order it from them. That way I know it will be here on time and, if anything comes up, it will be taken care of.

So I called some of the numbers given to me on here. The numbers only take me to the guy that made their website a long time ago. I totally agree we need to start a list of companies people have been ripped off by. Summit and Jegs have been so damn good to me it's crazy. A year or two ago, during a 331 build, I had some SCE copper head gaskets from jegs that blew ass. I didn't get any questioning about whether I installed them right or not, and within a few days another set arrived. They asked me to send the old ones back for anlysis. I got called up for a deployment, left for six months, and while I was gone they were calling to see how the car was doing, and when I was going to send the old set back. I was unable to get ahold of them the whole six months. When I got home, they hadn't notified any debt collectors or credit companies, they just simply called it a wash and cheerfully helped me spend more deployment pay. I never get tired of the free stuff, either. Even if I was to get a free hat or jacket from some ghetto ass company like liberty mustang supply, I wouldn't wear the damn thing.

We should get a running graph going, where you can stop in and cast your vote for or against tons of companies. Kinda like a real time report card, if ya catch my drift.

As title states can anyone tell a Cincinnati composite hood or a liberty mustang supply hood just by looking at it ?

I found a local deal and the guy does not know what brand hood it is
