I'm looking for a good fitting, nice looking 4 point roll bar for my convertible. It's an 88' but the interior is converted to a 90' so I'm looking for something that works well with that. I bought a Hooker roll bar a few years ago and it would have fit the 88' not well but it would have fit but had no chance of fitting the 90' with the repositioned seatbelts. I bought one from Steeda last year and it was a joke, they advertised 4 point and when it showed up the third and fourth point were three inches from points one and two. So two down, what does anyone else run and do you have pics?? Thanks for any help with this as I need a roll bar for the track now because I'm running too fast to go without anymore.

Yeah I'm a metal fabricator and I could build one but I don't have access to a nice mandrel bender and I want something that looks good in there. The car is in pretty good shape and after I finish some more chassis work she's gonna get some different skirts and a fresh color.

yeah neither do i. so what im going to do is buy the pre bent 90*angles and weld then ect.

so im just going to buy the pre bent angles and weld then together.

this probably is not legal to do for drag racing but for my car it will be fine. its mainly for looks.

Have you looked at Autopower rollbars yet? I am not sure if they are NHRA approved but they are worth taking a look at.

I was hoping for some input and pics from people who had them in their car so I could see what they look like. I already tried two big names and crapped out twice.

there products are good but there service is below average. they nickled and dimed me for a couple $150.00 over a mistake they made. Then they even charged me to ship a part they forgot.

I purchased a ton of parts thru them but I wont do it again.

I got mine from http://swracecars.com. it's an 8 point but I installed it as a 6 point with swingout door bars. S&W makes a bar specifically for the convertible.

hey hamonkeiser, can you give a pic of where the rollbar goes into the rear quarter panels? What did you have to do to install it, cut through the interior quarter panels? Id like to see that, thanks.

The shop just took out the rear seat, welded to the rear rails, notches the sides ot the rear seat & but the seat back. The rear bars run between the sides of the rear seat & the interor quarter trim panels.
