my vert is starting to run close to the times where i may need a 4pt. bar. my last time at the track i was running 13.6s all night with a terrible idle, low fuel pressure due to a vacume leak that i couldnt track down. thanks to some tips from stangnet i figured out the prob. It was a blown intake gasket under the runner side of my intake. Now the car feels like its running way stronger than before. So i was also going to put a zex nitrous kit on. My problem is that i have gone out of my way to make the car a sleeper. hid guages behind dash pad. shift light in ac vent and no ext. mods. Is there any way to put in a legal 4 bar that will bolt in and out. I want to run faster but i deffinetly dont want a permanent bar for my vert. Any ideas would be great.

i thought you needed it at 13.99 and faster.....did they drop to 13.49 and faster maybe? i know they redid the other cars

you can have it made to unbolt the top or use pins so you can't see it above the windows...other than that...make it slower

Yea, keep it off of thr track if you dont want to follow the rules. Take a chance an get your jollies off on the street, possibly kill someone, maybe yourself, or get the proper saftey equipment that comes with have a convirtable/ high powered car, and use all that power at the track.

I'm pretty sure Hooker Competition makes a 4-point roll cage that is bolt on and removable. I looked into them when I was getting mine done. They are two piece as well so you could leave the lower part installed and just remove the top so no one can see it. Good luck. I love roll bars in vert stangs so I proudly show mine off.

the last time i was at cecil the tech official told me that 13.49 was the new cut off for verts. I took him at his word. I will definetly look into the bolt in bar with the top being removeable. thanks for the input.
