Buy Mobil One!

I have heard two questionable comments on Royal Purple (I cannot claim to their truths)

1. I spoke with A local performance shop and they spoke about losing a newly built engine using Royal Purple oil. (email me if you want the shop name)

2. A rotating equipment engineer at the refinery I work at told me that he has seen independent test results indicating that their products contained high levels of sulfur in them. He implied it was snake oil. Re recommended Mobil 1. My plant uses almost all Mobil products including synthetics.

There will be replies back to these statements claiming they have used it sucessfully and flags will fly.
Just use caution.
Mobil One is a pretty well accepted and proven product. Plus they sell Mobil 1 everywhere.

While I might agree that some of the claims made by Royal Purple are tantamount to the claims of "snake oil" salesmen, I wouldn't base that opinion solely on anecdotal evidence. Are you aware of any scientific studies that support your opinion?

Royal Purple :notnice: SUCKS!

Hey everyone is welcome to their own opinion. I'll let you guys know how the royal purple really works in my car after I drain it. I've heard nothing but good stuff about it around the PA area. Although some people dont like it on stangnet because they've never used it and always used mobil 1 and mobil 1 is cheaper $ wise so hey why not buy it? I debated buying it until I saw some tests that I said I would pay the extra cost of amsoil or royal to get 2X better quality oil and better protection. That's just me though/ :nice:
