S/C 331's COME ON IN

That is an interesting thread. I think I am going to call CHP and just see what they have to say. I'm just going to tell them I want 400+ at the wheels with a short block that can handle it as a daily driver and pass emissions. I'll see what they recommend me using.

Im telling you now...youre not going to get 400 to the wheels with emissions in a N/A 347....Now, that doesnt mean you cant have a NICE car, but like you said, call CHP and see what happens....If you can do it, you will give a lot of us hope.

Let us know...I got an estimate from them once, and they were really helpful.

My guess is they;ll tell you to build a 347 with a steel crank, low compression, and add a supercharger.
That, or buy theier 347E add some heads and you'll be about 380....
Also, I was just looknig at thier prices for teh Dynotec Long Blocks. 7000.00 for a 331 longblock setup to handle 6 psi of boost and make 520 hp. This better be an aftermarket block. I know you can get a World Products longblock with their new block and all forged rotating assembly for about 6000....
