S/C 347 or stick with the 393/408 idea?

Hey guys, been sittin on some money here trying to save up for a 393 to throw in my cobra. Doing that, will run about 7-8 k maybe a little more. Lately I've been kicking around the idea of instead doing a 347, and then throwing a supercharger on it instead. I guess my mild mannered stock cobra motor has had me a little discouraged lately, so I'm itching to do something about it. What would you do? Stick with it and save for the 393/408? Or, go ahead and do the 347, save the money on the 351 swap parts, and throw a s/c on the 347 later. Thanks for the opinions...

Edit: Remember I'm wanting to keep this emissions legal.

Stock block 347? Asking for trouble when your making 500+rwhp on the stock block. I love N/A, so I'd prolly go with the 351 based stroker or a nasty N/A setup on the 347.

EDIT: Didn't read about emissions legal schtuff. Don't know how easy it is to make a 393/408/420 pass emissions.

347 with supercharger then. That'd be my choice with a budget in mind. Depends on what kinds of H/C/I your getting for eacn though. Either way can be cheaper depending on the parts.

Well, their longblock comes with AFR 185's, I'd probably have T-Moss do up my cobra manifold, and the dss motor comes with an FMS letter cam, which I'd probably replace with an FTI. Big expensive decision, so I'm considering all options.
