SC-Trim VS S-trim?

what are the differences in these?....

which blower would be better for me, my goals are low 12's high 11's in the 1/4 and 350-450rwhp...

i would be using an edelbrock performer intake, GT-40 heads, and a custom grind cam....

how much $$$ you got????? i think the s-trim is a 3k kit.....while the sc is not but can easily make just as much h/p either way 12's are cake.

I would go with the S-trim. Its a much better package and its a more efficient headunit. I think they go for about $2300-2400 new. If you have $4000, i would get a powerpipe, bigger injectors, calibrated mass air meter, intank fuel pump and deffinetly boost and fuel pressure gauges. Ditch the FMU, and have the car dyno tuned.

where did you find it for that price?

and can anyone help me on the main question?

it seems as the $800 price difference between the 2 are for nothing

but on the kit page it says that the V1-SC trim comes w/ an a-trim? wtf does that mean?

and why does it say that one is good for 5-6psi and the other 9-10psi... and then on the supercharger unit page says that BOTH are good to 20psi? really really really about this and need some help guys.

crap, I was looking at the SQ.. the A-trim isn't as good as the S...it's probably smaller or just not made to make that much boost. http://www.superchargersonline.com has the kits for cheaper than vortech

The S trim is better than the SC trim. What are you getting for 800? A better blower! Ignore the charts, they are wrong. The S-trim kit will take you into high 11's/low 12's right after u bolt it on.

I beleive the S-Trim comes with a T-rex, and BTM unit where the SC-TRIM doesn't, it is also a 8rib belt set-up, not 6 rib.

If you are stuck on Vortech I would get the v2-SQ the quiet blower, the technology is better, stronger and makes more power....just my $.02

Why not look into the Intercooled Prochargers, a p1SC complete kit with a 2 core intercooler comes in way under $4000 and comes complete with all the needed parts. I prefer the ATI headunits, they have stronger design features, bearings, shafts, etc

I tried sticking to the topic, but I do agree with Rick. There are better options out there, like Procharger or Paxton NOVI 2000.

mmmmmm, novi 2000 . i run the novi and its a tough package to beat. if you plan on ever going balls out in terms of power..... this is probably the last blower you will ever buy. the quality is there.... and the brackets/bracing are an absolute juggernaut . i am sure you will be more than happy with any of the choices out there. paxton and vortech are awesome pieces. i havent had any experience with a procharger but from what i can see it is a quality piece also (keep in mind the install is a little more involved for the procharger if you are doing this yourself) good luck and let us all know what you decide on

the novi 2k is a bit out of my price range, + im not wanting to make insane amounts of power. goals are 400-450hp and high 11's/low 12's.

so now im going to be researching the procharger P1SC, Novi 1k? or vortech S-trim?

Im not sure where you get this info. The NOVI 2000 is cheaper than the S trim by at least $100. And its 2x better than all other blowers mentioned so far. You dont have to want to make gobs of power for it to shine because it is a better blower at the 8 psi it comes with, due to its incredible efficiency. Youd be crazy to not at least do a little homework on it. The P1SC is the only other outstanding choice I see listed there.

I hope your joking, becuase when I was looking at prices for the S-trim I found it from Superchargers4less.com for $2500 I believe. If you can get a Paxton Novi 2000 for $2500, im going to be really really mad right now. I'm just praying you say you can get one for $2500, becuase if you can then the Vortech is comming off tomorrow. Cant beat the Novi.

Welp, when I baught mine it was either $1600 for my NOVI 1000 or $2500 for the NOVI 2000 at Modern Performance NW. I decided to save $900 and that was a big mistake. That was then. Now JDs performance has them for $2900 for the N2k and $3200 for the Strim. Im sure you can find one for 2700-2800 all u do is shop around. And if thats not good enough, check out the promotion they have right now.

I didnt say for sure youd find it for 2500. But you may be able to, just shop around for a little bit. JD's performance has it for $2900 and with the rebate that will be $2800. They are good guys, me and lots of others have baught lots of stuff there before.
