lol I broke 2 ashtray lids (didn't feel like taking the console apart and the cars were just about to be crushed) just to get the springs out to fix mine last year but I couldn't get it to work. I just fixed it a few days ago when I put my MGW in.
And the sad part is the cars that they crushed had good grey interiors and nice clean LX taillights All I took was the ash tray springs and the shifter boots and handles lol.
