What makes these SCT mass-air meters so great. I called a dyno shop and they said get a SCT mass-air over a Pro-M. "much better"? They wont tell you much over a phone unless you buy the supercharger from them and or have them install it.

Anybody care to school me on these meters. (Why better?) Thanks

alot of tuners say that the Pro-M and C&L meters arent reliable and ive heard of people having driveability problems with them. I am pretty sure that the SCT meters are just like the lightning and 03-04 cobra meters and are basically like a ford oem design. i have a lightning meter on my car and have had no problems at all car runs/idles/drives like stock. the SCT meter also looks exactly like the ford ones and pretty sure that you need a matching chip for it to run

the SCT meters are phisicaly the same as the lightning 90mm MAF, but they have upgraded electronics so the meters dont get maxed out. The FRP lightning 90mm starts getting close to being maxed at around 500rwhp. Some people have well over 500 hp on the lightning meters though, and considering you can buy 1 for 80$ I would go with the lightning. That is probrably one of the best upgrades Ive done. The entry level SCT is good for 800 RWHP.

I haven't seen anyone use an sct meter on a fox yet. And as far as i know you can't just swap a lightning meter on the car, it will need a chip too, sending the price through the roof.
