Service Engine Soon light

My daughter has a 2003 V-6 Mustang. Yesterday I replaced the radiator and noticed that the "service engine soon" light was on. Is this a reminder that comes on at a specific mileage? I keep up with the routine maintenance so it should not be due to any type of sensor. Is there a separate "check engine light" where you get the codes because of an issue with the engine? Is there an easy way to reset the "service engine soon" light?

Thanks for your help.

Go to Autozone (or any auto place) to get your codes read. There's no separate light so it could be many different problems (not neccessarily the engine).
You can reset the light by disconnecting the battery but it will probably come back on if the problem's still there.
