Just about done with a rebuild on a 91 5.0 HO, stock except for the intake, I did the 65mm and ported the upper and lower intake to match. I now have the trans apart, (AOD) and was thinking on a shift kit. Anyone care to share opinions and advice? Thankyou.

Depends on what you want, and what you're capable of doing. There are transgo kits out there that will give you full manual control of the trans to include O/D, and L/U, that is a fraction of a silver fox VB.

It still leaves the automatic function if desired, correct? I personaly never used one. As for capable this will be my 3rd trans, if I get stumped I can always get it with time. It's actually not mine, customer says she likes that when she hits the gas it moves. nothing rediculous like I would use for myself. thankyou

Set aside $500-700.00 before you do though.

The Transgo kit I referred to is a full manual conversion, and will not allow automatic functionality. That's not to say that there aren't regular "reprogramming kits" from them that won't, there is. At prices between 150-200.00. If you are comfortable doing the mods yourself, then again, Transgo, B&M, TCI, all have one.
