My stock shocks and struts have seen much better days. I don't know which ones I should go with. The car is just a street car. It will only see the track maybe 2-3 times a year. I'm going to stick with stock springs or maybe bullit springs. What should I go with and where did you get them? Thanks.

i like the strange 10 way adjustables but if you almost never go to the track you could probably get away with some standard replacement ones

I was looking for stock replacements and found the KYB shocks and struts from summit racing. They are affordable enough for me.

Fronts: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=partdetail.asp&part=KYB-235009&FROM=MG

Rear: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=partdetail.asp&part=KYB-KG5551&FROM=MG

Quad shock: http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=partdetail.asp&part=KYB-KG4521&FROM=MG

around 240 bucks for all of them.....not too bad.

I put the same one's on one of my stangs last year. Really nice ride quality for a daily driver. Terrible roads in PA and the car is dead smooth. I wouldn't listen to all the KYB haters saying their junk. I have adjustable Koni's on my other car and some might argue it's great to have adjustability but honestly how many times are you going to adjust them on a daily driven car? Get a set you just slap on and go.

Saying the roads in PA are terrible is an understatement. I think I'll go the KYB. I can't really see myself wanting to adjust them. I'm just looking to build a street car not a race car.

My next question is how hard are they to install and does anyone know anywhere I could find a good write-up on how to do it?

I am glad the first response is positive and Not someone screaming that they're junk, just because they are cheap and non adjustable. I will never see a racetrack and have NO need for adjustable shocks or the 100 dollars they add to each. thanks for the input.

The Bullitt Set up is great on a Fox, it lowered my car about 3/4" which is just right for the bad roads around here, the car handles like it is on rails and the ride is better than it was with the stock stuff!

I was also considering going with the bullit stuff. Where did you get yours? Everything fits ok?

No hate in the below lines.

KYB's are a good replacement when stock springs are involved.
KYB's make for a harsh ride when stronger springs are installed.

Thanks I'm assuming the anti-roll bars won't fit since this kit is made for 94+ right?

This is my third foxbody. The first one I only changed the exterior (hood, wheels, ect.), the second one I went straight to the engine, and with this one since I need to replace some suspension stuff anyway, I think I'm going to start there. Like I said, I just want a street car, no track monster or anything like that. Plus it's not like I have unlimited money to throw at the car. This kit seems like a good start to me as I seem to hear nothing but good things about it. Any other opinions are welcomed

Everything from the Bullitt Kit fits great, lowered the front of the car about 7/8" and about 3/4" out back. I found PPI to be the best place to find "real" Bullitt stuff, for ease of terms I call it a kit, but PPI has or used to have everything individually. The so called kits you see advertised are a mismatched jumble of things from Mach 1s, Cobras, and if your lucky a Bullitt.

Does PPI have a website? Could you use the anti-roll bars too or won't they fit?

Have you heard of Google or Alta Vista?
They are search engines that help to find information on the Internet.

In just 5 seconds I was able to go to http://www.google.com and put the words "ppi mustang" and the first listing was for Jim Dingell's place.

Give it a try!
