Before I get ran over with everyone telling me its a waste of money, let me say its not going to cost me any money becuase a friend and I will be doing the work. That being said, with the abundance of info on the net about porting the lower intake and E7TE heads I think I should give it a whirl. Give me reasons(positive/negative) on this. I want to hear what you guys have to say. I think if I do this and get a tune I can break 400rwhp SAE fairly easy and still have a awesome torque band. I think im also going to swap to a set of longtubes to boot, anyways let me know what ya think.

You can buy a set of E7's and a stock intake for under $100 probably. Im not going to get real greddy with them but im going to take advantage of it, my friend has some good experience porting heads.

I say go for it.
Its pretty hard to make a E7TE head flow worse (it can be done though,so becareful),so its a win-win.Thats is,unless time isnt on your side.

I would say take your new intake gaskets and header gaskets, hold them up to the heads and use a marker to color in where you see metal, and start from there.

You could also purchase a set of stockers and lower intake to P&P then swap them. It would save downtime....but as you said you have plenty of time.
