kind of a 'one or the other' situation... Running them under a sfc would leave you cringing with every sight of a driveway. Some options are notching and boxing the SFCs or running the SFC thru the floor inside the car.

i dont think they will work or with traction bars.I have a similiar exhaust that i put together and i cant use either

I've had the question asked about 300 times so here's what I did...

The Dr Gas set-up is all mandrel bent. I would have used it but the TCP Center section was in the way. So we used in-line flowmasters and just bent the pipe out to the side. I ran it right behind the outside sfc. I'm pretty sure I can get some cal tracs under there with a little massaging!

For SFC's, you have several options: the best is thru-the-floor SFC's - strongest & no clearance issues (also hardest to do). You can also run a setup like MDJay pictured, or Spintech sells both oval tubing & "clearance tubes", which are dimpled for SFC clearance.

I think my pipe comes out right at the spring mount and i've already spent too much on mandrel tubing to change it again,so i have to look again,but i REALLY need something,i'll look into that,thanks

Your T-bird has some awesome work but I don't think too many classic Mustang owners are going to cut a hole in their rockers unless they're already rusted out.

question for mdjay: with your setup would you have clearance issues with shelby underride bars? I like the idea of running a flowmaster as they don't make a inlet/outlet same sided muffler. thanks.

I don't believe the traction masters would work, but I'm confident the cal tracs could.

I have 28s and its borderline, but the outlets are further forward in relation to the driver.

They are a tad loud, but it is only a week end play car, so not bad. Those are Dynomax Race Bullets which use ceramic instead of fiberglass, and do not sound like glass packs, or pop like them. Not too loud, but I would not want them on a daily driver.

MDJay, did you have to do any cutting on your rockers to get those pipes to fit?

Yep..

You have to trim the pinch weld and the outer rocker to make room for the tip openning.
