I keep askin questions about it, so I figured I'd finally post some pics of what I have been working on.

I live in north western Montana, so I can only drive my car about 8 months out of the year. The rest of the time, I'm a Jeep nut!

Here are some pics of my buddy Justin and me doing some off roading in the gravel pit that his family owns.

This is his:

My Jeep is a 79 CJ7 with a 304 V8. It turns about 6000 RPM redline, and has plenty of torque for an off roader. Yee Ha! I just got it, so I have not done much to it yet. It needs a little bit of a lift so that I can clear some mudders that I have.

If anybody wants to see, here is a link to a video of the Jeeps doin' some cool stuff. :) http://www.chapambrose.com/jeep/

Well, there ya go, a little background on this new geek that has invaded your world. :D

I'm working on a 306 for it, shooting for about 400 HP hopefully. I so far have had the block line honed, bored .030 over, installed my .200 domed pistons (should make about 10:1 compression), and I have my heads ported and polished. I still need to have the heads 3 angle ground. I'm going to be using a Demon 625, a B303 or E303 cam (not sure yet), and I have to decide what kind of runner disighn I want to use for an intake. I'm wanting to go for as much torque as possible.

No emissions here. I was thinking at one point of using an F or even an X cam, but I want it to have a good of the line punch with lots of torque. Don't you think I might lose some of that If I go with that big of a cam? I don't want it to be all top end an nothing else.
