I borrowed a pneumatic valve spring tool from a friend last night. Holy crap does it make life easy! I did and entire head in the time it took to use the el-cheap-o tool on one spring.

I told work to p iss off today. I'm spending an entire day out there working on the car. Let's see how far I get.

Not very but hey telling them to p iss off may just give you a whole bunch of time to work on it just no monies to work on it.

Going to upload a ton of pics tomorrow. Got a ton of work done today and I'm quite happy with the outcome.

And I think I'll have enough dough to order the turbo this week.

They make a 1.10 a/r and a 1.32 a/r s475. I'm leaning towards the smaller for a quicker spool, although I bet the difference would be negligible.

I may still get the s480 too. Just can't decide. No billet though, out of my range.

Do you plan to mount the turbo off of the rad support or frame rail some how? I don't like the thought of all that weight hanging off the headers. Looks good by the way!

What size turbo will you be using? The one in the pic looks like a 101mm or something HUGE like that!! I know you're just using it for mock-up but the one you're actually gonna use must be the same size or close to it, right?

It'll be a Borg Warner S400 series, just haven't made my mind up on a 75 or 80mm yet. I need to call and talk to Mike's guy. The last salesman I talked to was just that - trying to sell me something I don't need. Either way, they are big units, and won't be much smaller than whats in the picture.

With that said, the merge to turbo pipe will probably end up getting cut down to fit the turbo under the hood. We shall see!

I'm driving to San Antonio to get an s475 for $350 tomorrow. Cross your fingers, folks. I hope the seller and I share the same opinion of 'lightly used'.

Yeaaaa, now we talking. Keep it simple.

Have you seen this month's Car Craft? Some legit junkyard LS powered turbo cars in there.

So this weekend, I bought a turbo and finished my hot side. I'll get pics up soon, but I have to say I'm quite pleased. Half price turbo and a sweet looking hot side? I'll take it.

I also want to thank everyone that reads this for NOT coming in here and giving me crap about building an LS motor. Id hate to have to tell someone to go jump into a pile of d1cks.
