Hey there, as you can tell I'm new to here. I wont bother you with telling you about me, lets get down to the nitty gritty.

i have a 1992 BMW 325I sedan, i also have a 1995 SN95.0, with 32k original

e36 chassis + sn95 5.0

you see where im getting with this? good.

Engine is installed
Transmission installed
Drive shaft chopped
now hydraulic slave

what im stuck on is simple, yet terrible.

i need the harness obviously, just how much can i thin out?? id rather not run all 40lbs of harness, i was curious if these were anything like the nissans, where you hack everything out and just run the MAF directly to the ecu??

delete the EEC and such, basically just ecu and necessary wiring, my issue is i dont know what these 5.0s find necessary!!!

any advice help or diagrams would be greatly helpful!!!!

I've no idea how the BMW is relevant.

Let it rain.

Sounds like an interesting swap. I think if I where doing this drastic a project-I'd go full stand alone ecu, like a megasquirt etc.. and then just run the necessary ignition/sensor wires etc for the megasquirt and engine, and just retain the wiring and modules in the Beamer for lights and stuff ...

Where's @90sickfox , he likes crazy and different lol

i was completely thinking of doing that! the problem is, id rather not allocate that kinda of funding to this. in the entire swap car, donor parts, rebuild and suspension, 3000, and the woman is already displeased ahaha

I can understand that, but I'm thinking you will have a bigger investment in trying to make a mustang ecu play nice with a Beamer ,and let's not get on the subject of tuning costs lol
Anyhow ,this thread needs pics-post up some swap pics

Race cars run off switch panels,so sure why not? Lol.

looks like you have a good start on the wiring id-start pulling wire and building panel/harness

Hey man ! Nice crazy build you've got there.

First, ditch the 95 computer....its the most temperamental one to choose from they don't like modifications. The easiest computers are from 89- 93. The emissions stuff can all go. The 94-95 actually do some funky stuff with the Ignition module on the distributor, that tfi module isn't compatible with earlier computers. Pins 11, 27, 31, 32, 33, 34, 42, 48, 54, 55 and related wiring could all be deleted and the car would run decent. 27 and 33 are for EGR and I see no real reason to delete them. Without being there its hard to tell what you can delete entirely. The wires running to and from the components listed can be deleted. Pins 8 and 22 are where my knowledge stops. 8 checks for a signal from the fuel pump relay and 22 is the ground for the FP relay. I don't know if the computer needs that signal to fire the injectors in a 95.

A stand alone would be a lot easier for what you're doing....but looking at your build it doesn't seem like you're the type to take the easy way out. I use mspnp2 for my car. I have some more detailed info...I'll try and post it tomorrow.
